In May 2019, the Sydney University Law Society (SULS) announced the 2019 edition of its Law in Society journal, titled ‘COMMISSIONED’.
The journal’s inquiry was defined by the Terms of Reference:
“What makes a Royal Commission such an effective mechanism for responding to our greatest public concerns? How does a Royal Commission obtain justice? And how is public justice achieved through the lens of Royal Commissions?”
The Editorial team provided its Final Report on 21 August 2019, featuring eight articles from students across Sydney Law School.
We would like to thank: our Editorial team comprising of Ben John (Editor-in-Chief), Alison Chen, Liam Ogburn and Natan Skinner; Professor Judy Cashmore AO for delivering the keynote address at the launch; and the SULS Publications and Design teams, in particular Jeffrey Khoo (Publications Director) and Christina Zhang (Design Director).
This journal is supported by Gilbert + Tobin.
